The Energy Council Expands Leadership Team with Four Key Appointments to Strengthen Global Market Coverage

LONDON, UK — The Energy Council is pleased to announce the appointment of four additional members to strengthen its global coverage of the oil and gas markets: Harry Seaman, Catherine Brown, Nuriya Powell, and Luke Brett.
Luke Brett, formerly of Reuters and Brunswick Group, has an extensive background in energy transition. In his new role at the Energy Council, Luke will be responsible for Council activities in New York, playing a key role in supporting the Council’s nearly two-decade relationship with the NYSE.
Catherine Brown, who previously held roles at S&P Global and Euromoney, brings a wealth of experience in investment and financial markets. As Head of Investor Engagement, Catherine will work closely with the Council’s extensive membership and partners, driving collaboration and investment opportunities.
Nuriya Powell joins from Reuters, where she also covered the insurance mark. Nuriya market coverage focusses on two the Councils longest established membership hubs in Houston and Singapore.
These appointments reflect the Energy Council’s commitment to enhancing its leadership team and expanding its global reach. CEO Lyle Simpson expressed his enthusiasm, stating:

For nearly two decades, the Energy Council has been dedicated to shaping the future of energy investment and fostering collaboration across the industry. With these new additions to its leadership team, the Council is poised to further strengthen its global coverage and drive meaningful impact in the sector.
