The Energy Council gathered almost 40 senior executives from across the oil & gas industry for two advisory board meetings to discuss not only the oil & gas industry’s most pertinent challenges, but the solutions to those challenges ahead of this year’s World Energy Capital Assembly (London, 13-14 November 2023).

Over the course of the day, we discussed the role of advocacy, the impact of EPL 1 and 2 on the North Sea, access to funding, how to balance upstream projects with the energy transition and the role of technology in achieving net zero goals amongst others. Companies in attendance included Apache, Blackrock, Bank of America, bp, Shell, Equinor, State Street Global Advisors, Chevron, Schroders, BCG, Legal & General and many more.
