Doug Meier currently leads PwC’s Deals practice for the Greater Texas market, primarily focusing on the Oil and Gas sector. Working extensively with companies contemplating cross-border acquisitions, Doug has advised clients headquartered in countries throughout Europe, Asia/Pac, Latin America and North America.
Doug specializes in financial, economic and accounting analyses involving complex business situations and transactions. His experience includes a wide range of Merger, Acquisition and Divestiture issues including strategic planning, acquisition due diligence, value driver analysis, purchase agreement negotiation, structuring, post-merger integration, litigation, post-merger disputes and sell-side services, among others. He has provided his services to strategic and financial clients competing in a vast array of industries including Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, Renewables (hydro, wind, solar), Medical Products and Equipment, Commercial & Industrial Products and Services.
Doug has been selected as one of the top 100 most influential Houston leaders in the energy industry by the Houston Business Journal. He regularly speaks at national professional conferences and seminars, including seminars on Mergers & Acquisitions and Joint Ventures. Doug received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame and received his Masters in Business Administration with concentrations in Analytical Finance and International Business from the University of Chicago.
