Efua Oduntun

Efua Odunton has spent the majority of her career working within the West African energy sector, with roles which ranged from the Director of Business Development – Gulf of Guinea for a Paris-based multinational through to Country Manager (Ghana) for an AIM listed Exploration and Production Company.

Through her varied positions, her dedication to improving the livelihood of communities in the region through education has remained a constant. She has worked with UN agencies to execute studies on the regional skills gap, partnered with IOCs to implement nationalization programs in Angola, Gabon and Nigeria, and worked with Government officials to design and launch sustainable oil and gas training programs in Ghana.

In 2009, Efua founded Kanapii Consulting, based on the same premise of responsible business – serving an international portfolio of clients in the energy sector. Kanapii has seen tremendous growth since inception and has expanded into both the North African and the Middle Eastern markets – delivering services which include strategic business solutions, risk analysis, and design and implementation of social investment projects.

Efua is a graduate of Columbia University, MBA from a leading French Business School, DALF (Diplome Approfondi de Langue Francaise), DFA 1 (Diplome de Francais des Affaires 1er degre).
