General Manager Local Content, Shell
Frederic Farhad is an international business manager with expertise in the energy and industrial services. Since 2014 he leads the Shell’s Local Content Program for the continuous improvement of the supply chain strategy to support economic diversification and capability development. He is an advisor to OECD, WorldBank, KazEnergy, WPC and IPIECA.
He started his career with Bridgeway as Engineer then worked for KPMG to perform management consulting. He joined Shell in 1996 to re-engineer the business processes before taking a sales director role. He moved into international operations in 2001 first in London and after in Dubai where he held various global commercial roles. He joined Projects & Technology department in 2011 in the Netherlands as the global contracting category manager for capital projects.
He is an engineer in Business Automation (ENSIIE) with MScs in Telecoms (Telecom ParisTech,) and Operational Research (University Paris VI), and MBA (Erasmus University RSM).
