Iain founded both the Oil & Gas and Energy Council. He is ultimately responsible for managing the activities of both Councils as well the Word Refining Association. Prior to this Iain has worked within the energy and technology sectors with Reed Elsevier, the world’s largest publisher, and was a General Manager at Terrapinn, an international business operating in seven countries covering Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, Middle East and the USA.

Iain is a well-known speaker in his own right, speaking regularly at energy and Africa development meetings including the World Gas-to-Power Congress and World Energy Cities Partnership – a non-profit organisation whose member cities are globally recognised as international energy capitals.

In 2016 Iain was distinguished as one of Africa’s Future African Energy Leaders and has previously been a participant in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
