Ismail Sid Ahmed

Ismail Sid Ahmed holds a master’s degree in signal processing from Blaise Pascal University in France. He began his career in 2005 at TOTAL EXPLORATION PRODUCTION before taking up multiple positions With Schlumberger in Scotland, Saudi Arabia and Oman where he successfully ends up as a Country Manager for Schlumberger Completion Oman in 2017. In December 2017, he joined Kosmos Energy Mauritania where he successively holding the position of Country Manager.

In his current position, Ismail is implementing Kosmos strategy in Mauritania, handling with our partner BP business operations, managing relationships with different stack holder including Mauritanian government, special monitoring for security and business opportunity, driving KEM renewable and/or zero-carbon energies vision in the area and managing the CSR policy and implementation in the country.

Ismail is a very well-connected person in the country and have the right eyes and explanation on fact on ground.
