Kathrin is currently serving as Executive Vice President Strategy & Sustainability for SEFE, Secure Energy for Europe GmbH, an international energy company owned by the Federal Government of Germany. SEFE’s activities span the energy value chain, from origination and trading to sales, transport, storage, and infrastructure. In her capacity as EVP, she oversees SEFE’s corporate strategy and transformation in terms of strategic growth and decarbonisation path.

Kathrin held several senior leadership roles in her 15 years professional experience working for the German upstream player Wintershall Dea prior to her SEFE tenure. She served as SVP Carbon Management & Hydrogen responsible for Wintershall Dea’s global operations with regards to CCUS storage development and hydrogen projects. Kathrin gained extensive experience from working in different jurisdictions holding various leadership roles from Finance to Digitalization & Innovation.
