Michael Gardosh is the Head of the Geology, Geophysics and Information Department in the Israeli Ministry of Energy since 2010. Dr. Gardosh holds a M.Sc. degree in geology from the Hebrew University and a Ph.D. degree in Geophysics from the Tel Aviv University. Before joining the Ministry Michael worked in the Geophysical Institute of Israel and the Israel National Oil Company. He has studied extensively the Petroleum Systems onshore and offshore Israel and published many papers and reports on these subjects.

Dr. Gardosh is an affiliated research scientist in the Haifa University and is teaching petroleum geology courses in several academic institutes. His current activities in the ministry include the promotion of Israel’s offshore hydrocarbon potential and establishing a national Data Repository for oil and gas.
