This strain creates transmission congestion resulting in substantial reduction in power quality and wild volatility in prices.
Utility companies are slow to adapt to the changing market, and transmission and distribution network upgrades take years to materialize. A more immediate solution is needed to provide customers higher power quality and efficient prices.
