Founded in 2017, Northstar Energy Limited is a public unlisted company based in Queensland, Australia, and is at the forefront of the Evolution of Energy and established a truly unique business which has the potential to become “the game changer” in powering the energy transition and decarbonisation. Northstar is focused on scalable, low risk, commercially attractive and repeatable projects in Australia and North America. With its portfolio of energy assets to generate firm base load renewable energy, these are the foundations for the development of our Energy Evolution Hubs producing clean fuels and our decarbonisation initiatives with large carbon emitters. 

Northstar have discovered and modelled production fairways of hydrothermal energy in Queensland within its portfolio of assets and has delineated a world scale inferred thermal energy resource estimate which is compelling, complimented by existing electricity transmission infrastructure with latent capacity and behind the meter access to customers.

Northstar’s geological and reservoir data capture has accelerated the shift towards development phases with field planning and optimisation of surface facilities. Northstar in partnership with the University of Newcastle is the latest recipient of the Australian Federal Governments – Trailblazer Recycling and Clean Energy (TRaCE) funding program for the optimisation of existing generation technologies that can be rolled out to Northstar Energy’s projects.
