What question or industry issue are you looking forward to hearing about at the China Energy Assembly?
China’s role in the gas markets is a very interesting topic these days, and I am looking forward to hearing more about the gas and LNG demand growth. In addition, I think gas storage is a quite interesting topic these days.
You will be speaking the Upstream panel. Tell us why this session is of interest to you.
Unconventinal resources has changed the energy markets over the recent years. With China’s important role in the energy markets, and strong growth in energy demand, developments within domestic unconventionals could have a big impact on the energy markets.
What does Rystad Energy wish to achieve in 2019?
In 2019 we wish to further grow our presence in Asia from the four offices we have today in Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo and Bangalore. Increased presence in China will be one of our key focus areas.

About Jon Fredrik Muller
Jon Fredrik joined Rystad Energy in 2010. Prior to joining the company, he worked as a consultant at Accenture. His area of expertise includes strategy and market assessments, macro analysis, transaction support and valuation for upstream E&P, oilfield services, financial institutions and governments. He is particularly knowledgeable within offshore-related activities such as subsea, field development, drilling and offshore vessels. Jon Fredrik is a reputed speaker at industry events globally on global macro and offshore-related topics.
He holds an M.Sc. in Industrial Economics and Technology Management from NTNU, Norway and participated in a graduate exchange program at the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary.
