Kris Pitta, Founder & CEO at Prudent Resources joins us to talk about his experience of building a business during a global pandemic and to discuss appetite for investment in small to mid-cap oil & gas companies as the industry is experiencing a sustained period of higher oil prices, and the opportunities that this could present for smaller independents like Prudent Resources who are looking to pursue growth strategies. He also talks about the ESG challenges that smaller independents face in light of rising ESG headwinds and how their approaches differ from larger independents and majors.

Kris Pitta serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Prudent Resources LLC. Kris is an experienced professional in the energy industry specializing in Business Development and Asset Management. He graduated with M.S. in Petroleum Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology and MBA from the Cornell University.
Since the launch of his career sixteen years ago, Kris has held various positions with increasing responsibility at multiple energy companies. Kris’s first responsibility as an engineer was to take care of newly acquired PXP properties in New Mexico. He went on to manage assets in Permian Basin, South Texas, and Williston Basin. He also worked as a member of the acquisitions and divestiture team.
He also led strategic planning efforts of Colorado drilling program. Later on, Kris accepted the role of Corporate Engineering Manager. He was responsible for managing companies reserves estimates. Kris has now added published author to his resume with his book Empowered Leadership. He resides in Houston with his wife and two daughters, Abigail and Sophia.
