Rystad Energy, the energy knowledge house, today announced the official opening of its office in Tokyo, Japan, located in the Sanno Park Tower. Yosuke Uehara, Vice President and Head of Japan for Rystad Energy, invited guests for a grand opening event to highlight the company’s ambitions in the region.

“Our push into Japan is in recognition of the size and opportunity of the market. It is very important to be close to our existing clients and to acknowledge discussions with fellow industry people that we can continue to strengthen,” Mr. Uehara said.

The opening event aimed to share insight and create a dialog on key energy topics.  Company founder and chief executive Jarand Rystad, together with senior analysts and consulting experts, offered presentations and insights covering several topics:

• Oil markets in 2018 and beyond with dynamic price modeling,
• E&P hot spots and the upcoming rise in activity,
• US shale gas growth and the creation of one global market for gas, and
• Renewable markets and the new product offerings by Rystad Energy in this segment.

Rystad Energy opened its first APAC office in Singapore less than two years ago. The company has since opened an office in Bangalore and is evaluating further plans in Australia. Rystad Energy was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Oslo, Norway.
