Alessandro has 25 years industry experience as Exploration Geophysicist. He graduated in Geology at the University of Genoa (Italy) in 1988 and obtained a Ph.D. in Geophysics in 1993 also from the University of Genoa. In the early 1990’s he was involved in the initial stages of the exploration program of the Ross Sea in the Antarctica as part of a multi national research program with USGS and BGR of Germany.

More recently He covered several international management positions with Aerodat, Scintrex, Paterson Grant and Watson and Fugro in Canada, South America and Europe.

Following the acquisition of the Fugro Geoscience Division by CGG, Alessandro Colla has taken the position of Regional Geomarket Director for Sub Sahara Africa, based in The Hague, Netherlands, and is responsible to promote the full range of geoscience services offered by CGG.
