Alexandre Tilmant is the founder of TELA ENERGY, an investment platform focused on energy transition and distributed energy resources in Latin America. Previously, Mr. Tilmant founded and managed for 12 years E&C Capital, BNP Paribas’ principal investment arm in the Energy and Commodities sector. At BNP Paribas, Mr. Tilmant was responsible for 47 private equity investments and over $500 million of capital commitments. He joined BNP Paribas in 1993 and has over 20 years of Energy and Emerging Markets experience, including structured finance, derivatives, and principal investment assignments in Mexico, Paris, and New York. A dual U.S./French citizen raised in Brazil, Mr. Tilmant speaks 5 languages and has closed deals in more than 30 countries. He is also a seed investor in technology startups.
