Avik Dey is a Managing Director and Co-Head of Carlyle International Energy Partners, focusing on further developing and growing Carlyle’s international energy platform. He is based in London.

Mr. Dey brings to Carlyle 23 years of energy investing and operating experience and has spent the past 8 years providing capital solutions focused on energy transition. Most recently, he served as CFO & Chief Transformation Officer for NOVA Chemicals, a leading global polyethylene producer. Previously, Mr. Dey served as Managing Director and Head of Energy & Resources at Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. He was a member of the Global Leadership Team, Chair of the Energy & Resources Investment Committee, and member of the Real Assets Investment & Management Committees. Throughout his career, he has invested over US$9Bn of private and public capital as an investor or entrepreneur. Prior to that, he held a variety of roles across private equity, investment banking and operating companies.

Mr. Dey currently serves as a director of Enactus Canada and earned his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary.
