Azahari M Shuid is the Senior General Manager of Strategy and Commercial (S&C), for the Upstream business in PETRONAS.

Azahari began his career with PETRONAS in 1996 as a Market Development Executive in Malaysia Liquefied Natural Gas (MLNG) Tiga. After a stint in PETRONAS Carigali Pakistan Ltd from 2000-2004, the next 14 years saw him go on to play several key and senior roles throughout the PETRONAS group. These include Corporate Business Development and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), International downstream Commercial and LPG business, Chief Executive Officer of PT PETRONAS Niaga Indonesia, Stakeholder Management at the Pengerang Integrated Complex and in Commercial and Strategy in Vestigo Petroleum Sdn. Bhd.

Prior to his current role, he was the General Manager of Upstream Strategy, S&C, Upstream Business from 2018 to 2022. Azahari graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ohio State University, USA, and has completed the Senior Management Development Program at INSEAD.
