Brian W. Glover, PhD

Brian has over thirty years of global exploration, commercial, development and operational experience. Having initiated his career in the North Sea with Shell, he has spent much of his career overseas having lived across 4 continents.
He was Chief Petroleum Engineer and Development Manager for Shell Gabon, moving on to Nigeria, where he managed Shell’s African Upstream portfolio and the company’s strategy in Africa. He joined Tullow in 2008 as Uganda’s General Manager & Director where he successfully established the company prior to it completing a 2.9bln USD farm-down to Total and CNOOC.
He later took on Commercial and Corporate Planning senior roles both in London and Tullow’s flagship operation in Ghana. Brian has worked for MOL Group in their Budapest HQ as SVP Exploration and Business Development broadening his experience into Asia and the Middle East and Russia. He was instrumental in restructuring MOL’s Upstream business as well as establishing MOL in Norway and the UK. In 2016, Brian joined Seacrest Azimuth Group, based in the UAE. Brian led rationalization of a global exploration portfolio, as well as development a novel commercial construct for global exploration- Pathfinder. Most recently, Brian was appointed to Staatsolie NV’s Board and Director for Offshore. Brian has a BSc from the University of Aberdeen and a PhD from the University of Keele, UK.
