Camilo Morales is an international business administrator from Universidad de la Sabana (Colombia), and held a degree of Specialist in Mining, Energy Law and Sustainable Development from Universidad de Los Andes (Colombia). Camilo has 9 years of experience in public policies, commercial and international affairs in the energy, oil and gas sector. He served as Energy, Oil and Gas Officer at the British Embassy in Colombia, where he designed and executed the UK's political and commercial positioning strategy on energy issues creating a suitable environment for the expansion of the British value chain in Colombia.
Subsequently, he served as the international affairs coordinator of the Colombian National Hydrocarbons Agency where he promoted the areas available for exploration and production of oil and gas. Additionally, he served as advisor to the Mayor's Office of Barranquilla, leading Barranquilla to become the first energy capital of Colombia.
He is currently Secretary General of Naturgas, contributing to consolidate natural gas as the bridge for the energy transition, the country's competitiveness and the quality of life of Colombians, highlighting the importance of reducing energy poverty in emerging economies.
