Vice President, Strategy and Financial Planning, Hess
Christopher Cox is Vice President, Strategy and Financial Planning, for Hess Corporation, a leading global independent energy company engaged in the exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas. Cox is responsible for managing Hess’ long-term strategic planning.
Prior to joining Hess, he spent 11 years with Goldman Sachs in their Global Natural Resources and Mergers and Acquisitions groups where he provided strategic advice to management teams and boards of directors across the energy industry and other sectors. While at Goldman, Chris was an advisor to Hess on a variety of financial transactions and strategic initiatives.
Before his role at Goldman, Cox was with J.P. Morgan in their Global Securitized Products and Risk Management groups. Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance, summa cum laude, from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA with Dean’s Honors from Columbia Business School.
