Claudio Galimberti is a Senior Vice President of Analysis at Rystad Energy, specializing in oil demand forecasting, energy transition and oil price modeling. An economist by training, he has worked in the oil industry for 20 years. He started his career with Shell Trading & Supply in Europe and then held a variety of senior strategy and commercial roles with Shell in the US, contributing decisively to the development of Shell Energy Transition Scenarios. Claudio also worked for S&P Global Platts as Global Head of Demand, Refining, Agriculture & Risk in the Analytics organization, and subsequently as Senior Director of Platts Analytics Content Transformation. Claudio holds a Laurea Degree in Economics from Universita Bocconi in Milan and a Master’s of Finance from Tulane University, and is working on his PhD in Finance from the EDHEC Business School in France.
