An Industrial Engineer graduated from Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico City) holding a Msc. in Finance from Hult International Business School (London), Daniel is an energy sector professional with over 10 years’ experience in development, analysis, and financial modeling of renewable and non-renewable energy infrastructure projects. He currently holds the position of Head of Asset Management at Balam Fund, a private equity firm specialized in renewable energy projects.
Daniel has worked in Financial Planning & Analysis as well as in Business Development in important energy sector firms. His experience includes development and revision of financial models for power plants (solar, wind and multiple turbines combined-cycle plants), vendor relations and analysis of potential energy off-takers credit worthiness. At InterGen, an international energy company, he participated in strategic operative and financial decisions to maximize financial performance of several projects and participates in the process of selling the LATAM asset to Actis. Priorly, he worked at Water Capital, a financial group focused on water treatment, energy efficiency and renewable projects, where he participated in structuring energy projects, as well as vendor selection and negotiations.
