Dr. Hassan has been with the Crescent Group since 2007 providing financial, commercial, economic and industry sector expertise across many of the Company’s activities. He played a key role in raising a $250 million loan in 2021 from the U.S. Development Finance Corporation to expand gas production in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI).

In his previous role in the Energy Corporate Finance Team of PwC London, Dr. Hassan provided expert advisory services to governments, multinationals and private sector clients on deal structure, valuation, energy economics, strategy, market restructuring, contract disputes and regulation/policy.

Dr. Hassan is a physicist by training and has degrees from Oxford University and London University. He recently helped set up an online platform for charitable giving and in his spare time enjoys playing with his children.
