Etsuro Yonemura has been serving as the General Manager of Asia Business Division at JAPEX since April 2026. In this role, he oversees the strategic investment and management of JAPEX’s business portfolio across Asia.

Yonemura specializes in E&P investment and international joint venture management. His extensive background includes business development in Southeast Asia and serving as the Commercial Manager of Kangean Energy Indonesia (KEI). He has also led significant international transactions, including the acquisition and management of the Norwegian subsidiary (JAPEX Norge), as well as the management and successful divestment of the UK business (JAPEX UK).

Currently, he is focused on executing JAPEX’s regional strategy by developing E&P projects alongside CCUS/CCS business initiatives in Indonesia and Malaysia.
