Evan Turner is the Founder and Managing Partner of Drillcore Energy Partners. He is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, structuring, executing, and managing active investments for the firm’s portfolio and advisory engagements across Upstream, Midstream, Oilfield Services Renewable Energy, and Equipment Manufacturing.

Previously, Mr. Turner was the Vice President of Finance for Encore Permian, a joint venture with Castlelake, L.P. in Midland, TX. Prior to this, Mr. Turner was an Investment Professional / Director and an energy sector head at StormHarbour Partners in New York. In his capacity, he played an active role with senior management in the entire advisory and investment process, responsible for sourcing, evaluating, structuring, and executing investments across the energy and infrastructure value chain as well as structured investments for general industries. Prior to StormHarbour, Mr. Turner worked with CohnReznick Capital where he co-launched their Oil & Gas Group and worked on energy and infrastructure investments across the value chain and capital structure. Mr. Turner formerly worked at Canaccord Genuity Inc., an investment bank where he specialized in the energy and industrial sectors. Mr. Turner has been featured in financial and industry publications including Axios, Bloomberg, Oil & Gas Investor, PE Hub, Yahoo! Finance, Breaking Energy, Oil & Gas 360, and many more. Mr. Turner was selected as one of Oil & Gas Investor’s 40 Under 40 honorees in 2018 and as part of Juniors in Energy Finance’s 30 Under 30 class in 2017.

Mr. Turner serves on the Board of Directors of Juniors in Energy Finance (“JiEF”), Advisory Board of the Energy Council’s New York Energy Capital Assembly, is a member of the Independent Petroleum Association of America (“IPAA”), Houston Producers' Forum, Young Professionals in Finance (“YPF”), and Young Professionals in Energy (“YPE”). Mr. Turner received a Bachelor's degree from Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a double major in Geoscience and Environmental Studies, with further work in Economics.
