Franco Magnani is head of Equity Valorization within the Natural Resources business unit.

Franco joined Eni in 2007 to create its crude and products trading operation. He then covered roles in Upstream, as EVP Planning, Reserves, Portfolio and Continuous improvement, then EVP Northern Europe in Norway. He ran Eni’s oil and gas trading business in 2015-18, then Eni’s gas portfolio and sales in 2019-20.

Before 2007, Franco was a partner at McKinsey & Co., with a 12-year expertise in energy in Europe and Middle East.

He was born in 1967, graduated in engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 1991 and gained an MBA from INSEAD in 1995.
