Ian Gordon is the Director of Global New Ventures at Noble Energy, based in Houston.  Previously with Noble, he served as Development Manager in the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico.  Before joining Noble in 2007, Ian held various geophysical interpretation positions over 17 years with Anadarko Petroleum and Conoco, including overseas assignments in Venezuela and Algeria.  While he has a number of stories to share of civil unrest, typhoid, malfunctioning aircraft and the like, mainly he prefers talking about his wife, four children, and his farm in the northwest United States.  Ian holds a Master’s degree in Geology from the University of Wyoming and a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Oregon State University.
