With his department Jan Boekelman is responsible for the financial management of EBN. This includes Business Control, Accounting & Reporting and Treasury. These departments are responsible for the financial and economic support of asset management, the financial administration. The Treasury department is responsible for the financing of the company and the timely payments to the State. Furthermore, Jan is also responsible for the ICT Department.

Jan Boekelman graduated in 1985 in Econometrics from the University of Amsterdam. In 1985 he entered the oil industry at Shell in Rotterdam and then from 1988 was seconded abroad by Shell. There he worked, among other things, as CFO of Shell Suriname and Group Controller of PDO Oman. In 2000, he started at Nuon as Group Controller. Jan made a sidestep to the non-profit sector in 2009 and started as Director HR & Finance for SNV Ontwikkelingsorganisatie. He joined EBN as Director Finance in early 2011
