John D. Baumgartner has more than 20 years of consulting,restructuring, and corporate finance experience. He has been involved with financial and operational restructurings, viability analyses, solvency analyses, valuation of assets and enterprises, asset divestitures, and due diligence. He has advised companies, senior lenders, mezzanine lenders, trustees, and unsecured creditors of companies in industries that include oil and gas, energy services, power and utilities, retail gas marketing, retail power marketing, and midstream energy companies. John has provided interim management services – Chief Restructuring Officer, Interim Chief Financial Officer. In addition, John has served as a state-court appointed trustee and as a post-confirmation trustee. He also serves as a consulting expert and testifying expert, primarily on litigation related to bankruptcies.
Previously, John worked for a national consulting firm, international accounting and boutique investment banking firms.
John is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor and holds a Certification in Distressed Business Valuation. He holds his M.B.A. from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University and a B.A. in Economics from Rhodes College. John is a member of the Turnaround Management Association’s Global Board of Trustees
