Jop van Hattum is the chief executive officer at Gingerah Energy Pty Ltd based in Perth, Western Australia (WA). Gingerah Energy is a partnership between the Karajarri People, Fugro and Longreach Capital Investment founded in 2024 to develop sustainable energy projects in the West Kimberley region of Western Australia. He has more than 25 years’ experience in Engineering, Project Management, Operations Management, Commercial Law and Business Management.

He serves on the board of the Chamber of Minerals and Energy WA and he is the current President of the Energy Club of WA.

Jop holds post-graduate qualifications in Engineering from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, and in Business Administration and Energy & Resources Law from the University of Melbourne. He is a Fellow, Chartered Professional Engineer and Engineering Executive with the Institute of Engineers Australia, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the Energy Institute, and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Energy.
