Josh Camp is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Perpetual. Prior to forming Perpetual, Mr. Camp was Director – Finance at American Energy Partners, LP, (“AELP”), an oil and gas investment company founded by the late Aubrey K. McClendon with more than $10 billion of total invested capital. During his tenure at AELP, Mr. Camp worked on the formation of six distinct, private equity-backed businesses, where he helped raise and deploy approximately $3 billion of capital. Mr. Camp worked alongside funds affiliated with The Energy & Minerals Group, First Reserve and Oaktree Capital in the formation of these businesses.
Prior to joining AELP, Mr. Camp served as an Associate at Kosmos Energy, a Dallas-based offshore exploration company backed by Warburg Pincus and The Blackstone Group. Mr. Camp spent the first four years of his career in energy investment banking working for both BMO Capital Markets and JP Morgan, where he focused on corporate M&A, A&D and capital markets activities. Mr. Camp has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Minor in Economics from Southern Methodist University, magna cum laude.
