Economist with Masters in Economics and in Public Policy, Juan Manuel is an international executive with many years of experience in business development and management in oil & gas and energy/electricity industries in Latin America, Africa, Europe and Asia. Previous to Ecopetrol, his last positions were in Bridas Corporation in Argentina as General Manager (2013-2016) and in Pan American Energy also in Argentina as Business Development Manager (2011-2012). From 2007 to 2011 held the position of Director of Energy for Sideco Americana, an Argentinean business conglomerate. Senior Consultant in diverse energy projects in America and Asia from 2001 to 2007. Vice-minister of Energy and Gas in Colombia between 2000 and 2001.
