Julius Svoboda is a Private Enterprise Officer at Power Africa’s Office and is based in Washington, DC. He is the Power Africa portfolio manager for natural gas, coordinating project development, policy priorities, and analysis. He comes from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration where he worked for eight years as the Senior Oil & Gas Trade Specialist. His work focused on the economics of U.S. and global oil and gas trade as well as U.S. civil nuclear competitiveness and energy efficiency development. He earned his master’s degree in public policy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his undergraduate degree in international affairs from the George Washington University.
