Mr. Leslie Zhang Weihua graduated from Peking University with an LLM in Civil and Commercial Law and is currently the general counsel and Vice President of United Energy Group Limited.

Mr. Zhang has been involved in many landmark transactions in the global oil and gas field in the past dozen or so years and is well versed in cross-border M&A in both theory and practice. He was ranked among the best in-house counsels in the Asia-Pacific region by The Legal 500, a world-renowned authority on legal counseling, and is also a member of the AIPN Board.

Mr. Zhang has published a number of articles on law theory and practice in both Chinese and English, including a monograph on International petroleum M&A practice entitled Merger & Acquisition: All-Process Practical Guidance and Case Studies published on 2019.
