Marc Hensel serves as President and Chief Financial Officer for Beacon Offshore Energy LLC since October 2016, and leads Beacon’s activities as an exploration and production company focused on the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico. Prior to joining Beacon, Mr. Hensel was Vice President, Acquisitions & Divestments for Freeport-McMoRan Oil & Gas LLC and held the same position at its predecessors Plains Exploration & Production Company and Plains Resources Inc., where he was responsible for mergers and acquisitions, divestments, and business development activities since February 2002. In addition, Mr. Hensel has served as Director, Business Development for Enron Corporation, and Director, Mergers & Acquisitions for Koch Industries Inc. Mr. Hensel has successfully completed over $50 billion of mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and financing transactions in the upstream and midstream energy industries.
