Marcos Pourteau cofounded Energy Consilium in September 2018, a consultancy specialized in energy. He was Undersecretary of Hydrocarbon Resources until July 2018 in the Ministry of Energy and Mining of Argentina. Marcos joined the Macri administration in December 2015 as Undersecretary of Exploration and Production and took responsibility for the downstream side of the industry in March 2018.

Marcos has more than 20 years’ experience in the energy industry, with strong international expertise in the Upstream, Downstream and power generation sectors. As an international executive Marcos held roles in the Argentina, the UK, France and Nigeria. His experience in the private sector adds to his experience as public servant with oversight over the regulation of the entire hydrocarbon industry in Argentina. Marcos holds an Industrial Engineering Degree from the Argentine Catholic University, and a fellowship from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
