Mark Hodgkinson
VP Treasury & Commercial Finance, Subsea7
Mark is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Corporate Treasurers (FCT) and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Chartered Accountants (ACA). He has over 35 years financial experience across a number of sectors. A graduate of Queensland University, he qualified with Arthur Young & Co before joining banks in both Australia and the UK working in commercial lending as well as treasury trading. Mark joined a pan European bank led initiative to develop a Treasury FX settlements clearing house (a forerunner to the current CLS Bank) – ultimately becoming the regulated officer responsible to the Bank of England. He then joined Royal Dutch Shell’s Group Treasury holding a number of roles including four years as General Manager for Shell’s Asia Pacific Treasury operations in Singapore. He was then appointed Group Treasurer at First Quantum Minerals a Canadian listed copper miner with significant assets in sub Saharan Africa and subsequently joined Subsea 7 in 2013. He is currently the VP Treasury and Commercial Finance at Subsea 7 responsible for corporate debt raising, treasury operations, financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions and commercial finance support for the business, including support client access to ECA financing.
