Mark Tharp serves as Co-Head and Managing Director or ORIX Energy Capital and is responsible for all aspects of oil and gas investments. With more than 16 years of experience in all phases of energy finance, Mr. Tharp focuses on leading and executing debt and equity financings as well as M&A transactions in upstream, midstream and oilfield services. His track record includes more than 75 transactions totaling in excess of $15 billion in value.

Prior to ORIX Energy Capital, Mr. Tharp was a Director at CLG Energy Finance, LLC, an affiliate of Beal Bank and Beal Bank USA, where he was responsible for all aspects of the oil and gas investment process. Prior to CLG, he held a variety of roles as both an investment banker and financial executive where he was responsible for capital markets, corporate development and leveraged finance.
Mr. Tharp received his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
