Melody retired from Chevron after 37 years of distinguished service with extensive leadership expertise in global upstream operations, strategic and business planning, major capital project execution, capital allocation, and in delivering superior financial results. From 2011-2016, she was President of Chevron Asia Pacific Exploration and Production. Previously, she was President of Chevron Energy Technology Company, Vice President U.S. Gulf of Mexico and Vice President U.S. Mid-Continent strategic business units. She held key international leadership assignments as the Operations Engineering Manager in Tengiz, Kazakhstan and Operations Manager in Angola. She has extensive experience working on complex fiscal environments in 17 countries, with a focus on creating advantage from change during three new country start-ups, three merger integrations, managing crisis and risk, mega-capital project execution, and reducing cost and driving efficiencies across diverse asset classes.

 

Ms. Meyer graduated from Trinity University in 1979 with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering Science and attended Dartmouth Tuck Executive Education program in 1997.

 

Ms. Meyer was Executive Sponsor of the Chevron Women’s Network and formed Women with Energy LLC to continue to advocate for the advancement of women in energy. Ms. Meyer was recognized as a Trinity Distinguished Alumni, with BioHouston Women in Science and the ASME Rhoades Petroleum Industry Leadership Awards. Ms. Meyer is being recognized by Hart Energy as an Influential Women in Energy in 2018.
