Mike is responsible for setting the global Energy Transition strategy and plan, while ensuring its successful execution. As clients transition from fossil fuels, and markets adapt to the shift in activity and practices, Mike’s insight will help to steer clients, prospects and brokers through this evolving risk landscape. In this role, Mike works closely with the Liberty’s Sustainability and Global Product functions to monitor and respond to emerging risks in Energy and ESG, tracking developments and driving new principles in the macro and regional risk environments.

With 25 years of global underwriting experience in the energy sector, Mike most recently served as the Chief Underwriting Officer for Specialty Lines in LSM, overseeing Energy, Marine, Construction, Property and Aviation. Prior to Liberty, Mike worked in New York for AIG where he travelled the world assessing risk before moving into underwriting for the NY region across AIG’s Energy and Construction business. Mike began his career with Industrial Risks Insurers in Philadelphia in their Chemical Risk Engineering training program. He has a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Villanova University.
