Nicole David Palau has been Director General of Investor Relations and Promotion since March 1, 2017.

Nicole has extensive experience in public affairs and communications. She started her professional career at the Ministry of Tourism in Mexico, where she collaborated as an Advisor of the Undersecretary of Tourism. In this position, she coordinated diplomatic topics of the Asia-Pacific Economic Forum (APEC).

She later joined the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), where she headed the Special Programs Department. She was in charge of presidential goals, training for senior managers nationwide and was appointed as CFE official representative for international events.

Later on, she collaborated as Specialized Consultant in Media and Elections in the Organization of American States (OAS) in Washington DC, where she led the Media Observation Project during the election of Bolivia in 2009, and the legislative elections of the Dominican Republic in 2010. She published a book on media monitoring for elections.
Prior to joining the Ministry of Energy, she was Director General at Central de Estrategias Políticas, one of the most important government communication, public affairs and crisis management firms in Mexico.

She joined the Ministry of Energy in 2015, as Director General of Coordination of the Minister’s Office, where she was in responsible for the relationship with the Mexican Presidency and the contact person with Mexican states and state productive enterprises (CFE and PEMEX).

Nicole David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Sciences and Public Administration from the Universidad Iberoamericana and has a Master’s in International Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, from Tufts University in Massachusetts, United States.

She is co-chair of the Mexico-US Energy Business Council, on the Mexican government side.
