Business Opportunity Manager (Atlas Carbon Storage Hub), Shell
Nicole is the Business Opportunity Manager for the Atlas Carbon Storage Hub proposed by Shell, Suncor, and Atco. She is known for integrating technical and non-technical across Shell businesses, grounded by a Bachelor of Science (Chemical Engineering) degree and a Bachelor of Arts (Sociology) degree.
She has over 18 years’ experience in Shell, starting as a process engineer at the Scotford Refinery. Other roles include coordinating major regulatory approvals and managing several front-end projects with complex technical and commercial elements. Over the past several years she has helped evolve the Polaris carbon capture and Atlas carbon storage opportunities at Scotford as well as leading opportunities to market customer-facing lower-carbon product opportunities. Nicole is passionate about sustainable energy development – caring very much about the environment and people she works with.
Nicole was a born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. She is married to Jason, and they have two children, Everett, and Adele, plus a Portuguese Water dog named Rundle. Nicole loves spending time in the mountains, travelling the world, yoga and meditation, and especially watching her kids play hockey.
