Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Osvaldo Del Campo is CEO of Galileo Technologies S.A. Under his leadership, this company has introduced several modular technologies for natural gas and biomethane upgrading, compression, liquefaction and transportation. Based on this experience, he considers that the dispersion and abundance of new sources of conventional natural gas, shale-gas, tight-gas and biomethane turn the laying of pipelines economically unsustainable to take gas to consumers. To break this barrier he proposes a Distributed LNG Production model, where portable small-scale stations liquefy gas right at the source and LNG/LBM Virtual Pipelines match gasoline and diesel distribution logistics, connecting gas sources to their consumers at a lower cost than pipelines do.
