H. E. Ousmane Ndiaye

H.E. NDIAYE has more than 40 years of experience in the Energy sector and has held high profile business and executive positions. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (at the William PONTY School) and graduated from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Techniques Industrielles et des Mines d’Ales in France as a mining engineer. Holder of an MBA from the prestigious French Business School, HEC, he began his career in 1974 at the Senegalese Thiès Phosphates Company (SSPT) as an Engineer before becoming the Operations Manager from 1981 to 1988. From November 1989 to December 2000, Mr NDIAYE served as the Managing Director of the National Oil Company (PETROSEN). From February 2001 to June 2005, he headed the Eastern Senegal Mining Company in (MIFERSO). During this time Mr Ndiaye also joined the Chemical Industries Company of Senegal (I.C.S) as Chief Executive Officer from December 2004 to July 2006. In 2007, Mr Ndiaye, in partnership with other experts of the energy sector, launched E.M.C.,  Energy and Mining Corporation and became as Founder and Chief Executive Officer. After a rich career, he was appointed as Minister Counselor for Energy of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Senegal from 2012 to 2016. In November 2016, Mr NDIAYE became the Permanent Secretary heading the COS-PETROGAZ, the Senegalese Oil and Gas Strategic Steering Committee.
