Pierre is co-Founder and Executive Director of Longboat Energy, a partner in a deepwater high impact exploration PSC in Malaysia, the “2A PSC”.  Previously with Topaz, who signed this new Malaysian PSC in partnership with Longboat Energy, Petronas Carigali & Petros in February 2023.

Pierre worked previously with Lundin Energy and Roc Oil with oversight of subsurface projects and growth across both Groups’ Asian portfolios.  He served as Technical and Business Development Director SE Asia for Lundin and as GM – Exploration, Geoscience & Business Development for Roc Oil & Director ROC Oil Malaysia. Pierre previously worked at TOTAL and Cairn Energy in the United Kingdom, India and on new venture projects globally.

Over his time at Cairn Energy Pierre was closely associated with the discovery, appraisal and initial development of the Barmer Basin fields in Rajasthan, India, and specifically the flagship Mangala field and the discovery of over 500 mmbbls reserves.  The Rajasthan fields are currently producing approx. 150,000 bopd for Cairn India and supply approx. 25% of Indian oil domestic demand.

Pierre holds a BA in Earth Science from Trinity College in Dublin (1991), a PhD in Geology from Manchester University (1995) and received Corporate Governance certificates from INSEAD’s International Director’s Programme (2022) and in Global Management (2020).
