Gasunie is an energy network operator. In the Netherlands and the northern part of Germany, we manage and maintain the infrastructure for large-scale transport and storage of gas. With a background in natural gas and state-owned, Gasunie is uniquely positioned to support the energy transition with a shift towards CCS, hydrogen and green gas.

Pieter is responsible for leading the Gasunie team that develops various CCS project. These includes a portfolio of projects ranging from onshore pipeline, offshore infrastructure and terminals. Gasunie cooperates with internal leading players to deliver the projects, including EBN, Port of Rotterdam, Shell, Vopak and Total Energies.

Pieter has a long track record in project development and project management in the energy industry. He headed the business development department as well as the offshore wind department at Eneco and was project directors for the privatization of Eneco.
