Randolph Horner
Founder and Managing Director, Renewable New York
Randolph Horner is Managing Director of Renewable New York, LLC, a Limited Liability Company directing Funding and Development of Zero-Carbon Energy Projects across the Electricity Generation, Building Space Conditioning, and Transportation Sectors. For the past two decades, this enterprise has pivoted around Renewables + Energy Storage for transition forward from fossil-fuel-based energy technologies. Horner has been active in what we now call Sustainability since preparations for the first Earth Day in 1970.
After decades of business experience with Energy Conservation in Building Materials and Systems, Sustainable Agriculture, and Wholistic Nutrition and Food Ingredients, his initial leadership in the Municipal Photovoltaic area dates from the first opportunity established by the New York State Energy Research and development authority (NYSERDA) in 2004. Among a sequence of Distribution-Voltage Projects which followed was the State’s first multi-megawatt Municipal PV-on-Landfill Installation. Since 2014, Horner has been a Party to a succession of cases under the Public Service Commission, New York’s Energy Regulator, under its Reforming the Energy Vision (REV) Initiative and he serves on the Solar Interconnection Policy Working Group. His years of Advocacy for integrating Transmission-Voltage Renewable Energy Generation with Ultra-Long-Duration Energy Storage have now been superseded.by Deep Well Geothermal Green Electricity and Hydrogen production for combination with locally sited Distributed Energy Resources in Community-scale Microgrids – supported by comprehensive Community Choice Aggregation.
