Roberto Blanco is the Vice President of Energy for Grupo Alfa. Mr. Blanco has led Alfa's effort to participate in Mexico's bidding rounds 1.2, 1.3, 2.2 and 2.3, and has been responsible for contractual migration process for both San Andres and Tierra Blanca CIEP blocks located in Veracruz, Mexico. He is responsible for securing energy supply to more than 100 industrial facilities, and has led internal efforts to participate in CENAGAS Open Season for natural gas transportation in Mexico. Mr. Blanco is also responsible for energy infrastructure projects. Prior to taking his most recent position in E&P, he played several strategic managing roles in the energy area, being globally responsible for energy-efficiency projects, renewables, R&D projects, cogeneration and combined-cycle power generation, natural gas midstream and water infrastructure. Mr. Blanco holds B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering and a M.Sc. degree in Energy Engineering from Tec de Monterrey and a M.Sc. degree in Management (MS’15) from Stanford University.
