Roberto Ruiperez Vara is the Vice President of Capital Projects and LNG Technology at Freeport LNG, where he has been a key member of the management team since 2013. Roberto brings over 20 years of extensive experience in the energy sector, with expertise spanning engineering, operations, and management. In addition to his role at Freeport LNG, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Society of International Gas Tanker and Terminal Operators (SIGTTO).

Roberto is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas and a principal member of the NFPA 59A technical committee. He holds certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and an ISA Certified Automation Professional (CAP).

Roberto's academic credentials include a B.S. in Engineering from the University of León in Spain, an M.S. in Engineering from Aalborg University in Denmark, an M.S. in Technology Management from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, and an MBA from Rice University in Houston, Texas.
